Killer Klowns from Outer Space The Uninvited Strays! Troll Razorback Killer clowns, killer cats, killer trolls, and killer razorback hogs are a far cry from the usual Child's Play or Jaws. I'm looking for more obscure killer creature movies. They're usually better when they're from the 80's. What other killer creature movies are there? Any about killer gerbils or hamsters or any other animal??? I've seen the usual lists on Google for killer animal movies. Snowbeast - great made-for-TV bigfoot movie from the '70s, Bone Snatcher - mysterious creature stalks some people out in the desert. Creature (1985) - nasty critter stalks some people on one of the moons of Jupiter or someplace. Flesh Eaters (B&W) - Cool movie about some people on an island. Insecticidal - total cheese about hot babes chased around their sorority house by silly CGI bugs. Lethal Target - Hot babe on a spaceship vs. footage of a monster taken from one of the Xtro movies. Spiders - Giant spider is eating people! Starship Troopers 2 - I love this movie. I may be the only one. Venom - very good low budget movie about a zombified guy chasing some teens around. KILLDOZER (1974) - A piece of demon-possessed construction equipment (guess what!) on the rampage on a tiny island. BLACK DEVIL DOLL FROM HELL (1984) - Again, the title pretty much gives it away. I've been told by folks much wiser than myself that under no circumstances do I want to see this - so its tops on my 'To See' list. Shadowzone - Features a killer thingy from another dimension. Attack of the Giant Leeches - Features leeches in tennis shoes. The frogs don't technically kill anybody, but they do give Ray Milland a heart attack and destroy his birthday cake.
GODZILLA VS. THE SMOG MONSTER has Hedorah, who is made of yeechy polluted gunk and busted baby dolls. He likes to suck on smokestacks and melt Japanese hippies. WILLARD and BEN both feature killer rats, not to mention THE RATS ARE COMING! THE WEREWOLVES ARE HERE!. BRIDES OF BLOOD has a cameo by a radioactive mutant butterfly, and THE REVENGE OF DR. X features a giant venus flytrap monster that eats Japanese hunchbacks and puppies. IN THE SHADOW OF KILLIMANJARO has a troop of killer baboons and LINK has an old orangutan (dressed up to look like chimp) who plots to off Terrence Stamp and lusts over Elisabeth Sue. Alligator - Remember those stories about alligators sewers, well this is a film about it. Apparently Chicago is a prime breeding ground for this sort of thing. Dance of the Dwarfs is a film I think I am one of the few Americans to know about, though the creatures disappointingly only show up in full-body glory a few minutes till the end. Horror Express - Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee vs. ancient bigfoot creature. Hybrid - nasty critter eats people in a post apocalyptic future. Inseminoid - space monster threatens people on a distant moon. Good early '80s atmospheric film. It Waits - Cerina Vincent looks all hot and sexy while a creature chases her around the woods. Unfortunately wanted to be a Lifetime movie of the week pretty badly. Jigsaw - a mannequin kills college kids Killer Rats - that's right - killer rats - in a psychiatric hospital King of the Lost World - sexy babes, King Kong gets nuked, Bruce Boxleitner - this movie's got it all! Moontrap - alien robots chase Bruce Campbell and Chekov from Star Trek around the moon. Within the Rock - Alien rock monster after some people on an asteroid. From what I know it's occasionally shown at Asian film festivals, the copy he had was clearly a camcorder bootleg copy. Not square and shaky, I know he got it in mainland China or Honk Kong I saw it about 2 or 3 years ago and asked him for it a while back to make a DVD copy of it, but yesterday I ask du-mass and he thought that he gave it to Goodwill when he cleared out a bunch of his old VHS tapes last fall. As long as we are mentioning Frogs, most of the deaths in the movie are not caused by frogs, but my most other animals in the area. We see large lizards, spiders, snakes, and possibly even birds killing people. But if we want to most obscure killer creature, the snapping turtle that kills that lady in the film would for sure count as obscure. It still ticks me even now, after all the weeks I had to recover for it. I don't know, she was pretty stuck in that mud, and it was a really big turtle... ...the snapping turtle attack was probably my second favorite scene in the whole movie. Ray Milland being menaced by the horde of slowly advancing frogs was my favorite. Not so obscure with us B movie fans is The DEVIL BAT(1943) with Bela Lugosi. ...which was kinda redone with George Zucco in the Bela role and the FLYING SERPENT(1946) in the Devil Bat role! Akim Tamiroff is a vulture-man in the VULTURE (1967). A kin of the Flying Serpent and the Giant Claw is Larry Cohen's Q-the WINGED SERPENT (1982). I know the volume is'nt very loud...but this rare trailer for The FLYING SERPENT is worth posting! This is not the Chris Farley film of the same name, it's about a mutant sheep that bites people turning them into killer sheep that eat people in New Zealand.
