Title: Man loses His Company Pickup in the Ice
Post by: InformationGeek on February 17, 2009, 05:46:45 PM
I have no article unfortantely, but I tell you everything you need to know.  A bit ago during some cold parts in my town, this guy decided to go ice fishing.  He drove this truck out on the ice, like most people do in my area.  Bad news for him was that the ice wasn't strong enough and the truck broke through and sank.  The guy was ok and everything, but the funny thing about it was that he was using his company's vehicle at the time.  I wonder if his boss was watching the news at the time when they were reporting this?

This happens a lot more than you would think.  Here's a story about two people who died in lake Winnebago when a truck crashed through the ice: http://www.nbc15.com/state/headlines/39621127.html.

I understand that the ice is thick, but you'd think with this happening several times a year people would stop driving big heavy trucks out onto frozen lakes!
