Title: Didn't People Learn Anything From The Planet Of The Apes Movies
Post by: meQal on February 17, 2009, 10:27:05 PM
A chimp in Conn. snapped for some reason and almost beat it's owner's friend to death as well as attacked police officers before it was fatally shot. No one knows what set the chimp off into a rampage which left one woman in critical condition.

Didn't these people watch the Planet of the Apes films. It teaches you that apes regard us as the lowest form of primates and will kill us for sport. Geez people, don't keep apes in your home even if they can be trained to do chores. Eventually they will rise up against us all in rebellion.

I read about this, is was sad, but had some pretty funny parts to it. They said they gave it some xanex(sp?) and it flipped out. I saw an episode of cops where some teenage girl took a bunch of her mom's xanex and kinda flipped out, I can't imagine a 200lb primate on that stuff. I guess one person stabbed it, bashed it with a shovel, then the police shot it, and it still made it back to it's room before it died.

Herold . . .  fed the chimp steak, lobster, ice cream and Italian food.

Just F-ing wow. . .. .

From another article:

Conklin also suggested the animal may have attacked Nash because she was wearing her hair differently and perhaps wasn't recognized.

Is it just me, of does pretty much every time an animal attacks a person, the owner tried to put at least SOME bit of the cause on the victim, no matter what?

Also from another article:

When cops drove up around 4 p.m., the burly ape tore off a cruiser's side mirror and opened the door. The officers had "nowhere to retreat," Conklin said, and shot him several times.

I'm kinda laughing at the picture of a cop cornered in his own cruiser by a chimp. I know at least one policeman that would have been screaming like a little girl.

But Travis . . . enjoyed human activities like drinking wine and surfing the Internet

Now we know who Menard has been trading monkey-porn with.  :bouncegiggle:
