Post by: Kester Pelagius on February 23, 2009, 11:07:52 AM
There are good movies, bad movies, and then there's the purposively hispid lazaretto that's Don "The Dragon" Wilson movies.  CYBERTRACKER (http://cosmic-cinema.blogspot.com/2009/02/cybertracker.html) is one such movie.

 :teddyr:

hispid (adj) rough with stiff hairs, as in "bristly"; usu. as of pertaining to animals or plants.

lazaretto (noun) a hospital for those affected with contagious or loathsome diseases; ie: a quarantine station/facility (usu. pertaining to/as for maritime travellers).  Orig. abbrev. of name for a leper hospital.

According to the AMERICAN COLLEGE DICTIONARY (written in English) I paraphrased those definitions from: LAZARETTO has it's origins in Italian by way of Ventian and HISPID is from the Latin hispidus.

*insert witty remark about lifting the tegmen of ignorance from readers eyes here*

OK, I have to ask: "tegmen"?  :bouncegiggle:

On topic, this little discussion is far more enlightening and entertaining than any Don "The Dragon" Wilson feature could ever be.

OK, I have to ask: "tegmen"?  :bouncegiggle:

Means pretty much the same thing as tegument which, as you know, refers to a "covering" such as the outer layer of an organizm like a virus, it's that thin membrane covering (like what you find on seeds).

It has been fun.   :teddyr:
