 I was trying to think of the name of this and was lke "jack?? larry??  ...oh yeah Jason"  This is a precise combination of Star Wars and the Flash Gordon serials but sillier.  It's expressed very well in the main villain drago, who is a combination of Darth vader and ming the merciless but sillier.     It looks like an Italian star wars rip off with corny jokes replacing the scantilly clad babes but, speaking of which, Nicole, the female sidekick is pretty hot.  In one episode she is in those stock things, like the puritans had.  great stuff.   I liked the gayish comic relief guy and the C3PO rip off wiki as well.  He has his own robotic theme song they play whenever he shows up.  This was somewhat later in the live action cycle and has better production values than Isis or Ark 2 but I like those better.  This one kind is less funky and I'd probably rather just watch "Buck Rogers" Or battlestar Galactica.  it also has that quality, something about it that just makes you want to make fun of it mercilessly.  Best attribute is the fact that each adventure is only like 10 minutes long so not room for any flab.

   I remember this James Doohan and Sid Haig ! This show was somehow a spin off of Space Academy. Another very cheesy Sat. morning show good stuff.

I haven't seen space academy but I like Ark II and Isis alot

Oh man I miss Saturday morning in the 70's this show was one of my favorites and made my love for women in spandex more.

I think the woman from Jason of star command ended up going on knots landing or something.  some soap opera.



In the commentary on the DVD the director said they would get tons of letters to "jason"  not the actor who played him but to  Jason.
