He grew his hair out really long then had it all cut off for an organization called Locks of Love which makes real hair wigs for children who have long term hairloss due to illnesses such as cancer.

A couple years back I participated in a big event put into motion by the science teachers at my high school -- participating students and faculty could either donate hair to Locks of Love, or get people to pledge them money to do something ridiculous with their hair (I grew a mullet), with the money going to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute (http://"http://www.roswellpark.org/")'s Pediatrics wing. We raised about $5,000 plus got about 20 individual hair donations, including three feet of hair from a woman who hadn't cut her hair in five years. He left just enough that he looked like he was trying to be a Barry Manilow look-a-like. It was an awesome gesture, but in the end he caught ALOT more crap than he thought he would. They measured my ponytail and it was 21 inches long. Now I have a cute bob that is alot easier to take care of and it was for a good cause. Props to you trevor!
