I think it's even better than the Mr. Vampire movies, but I don't know if your taste is the same as mine. Some people on this forum don't even seem to like "badmovies" at all. If you do end up enjoying Kung Fu Zombie, you should also check out Kung Fu From Beyond The Grave. It's even better.

I haven't seen any of the films you just mentioned, so I can't make any comparisons there. I guess it's about as "bad" as "The Devil" aka "The Devil's Express" (another crazy Asian horror movie) if you've ever seen that one, but "Kung Fu Zombie" is funnier. If you've seen any of the "Mr. Vampire" movies, it's kind of along those lines, but cheesier. You've really just got to see it and answer that question for yourself.

The first one is a great introduction, but it's more polished than the later ones which have more of a b-movie feel to them.

Post by: the ghoul on March 29, 2009, 04:12:06 PM I have a DVD that I bought a couple years ago that has "Kung Fu From Beyond The Grave" and "A Chinese Vampire Story" (aka Mr. Vampire 5) as a double feature. I recommend that one if it is still available. Most of the Mr. Vampire movies are still readily available on ebay.
