I could never eat those--I'm allergic to red curry.

My only concern here is, do they can them alive? And why hasn't PETA dressed someone up in a waterbug outfit and had them fling...uh...fling...what ARE waterbugs full of?

PETA has started a campaign to call them "antennae kittens" so people will think their too cute to eat.

I happen to own a few antennae kittens, and these, sir, look nothing like antennae kittens. Okay, just a little, but not exactly.

Anybody else seen these things up close and alive? They really are impressive. They eat things like fish and frogs, and can apparently give a really nasty bite. They're venomous, of course. I've only seen them on a couple of occasions. Quite a lot of water around these parts, so we do have them here. A little while back, a kid showed me one he caught outside his house (apparently, they fly at night), and you should have seen this thing struggling to climb out of the jar. I was happy to have the glass between us, and I like bugs.

Anyway, enough of that. Back to the captions.
