Title: GYMKATA (1985) Post by: zombie no.one on May 04, 2009, 07:46:56 PM never heard of this until I saw the link on the front page earlier - http://www.badmovies.org/movies/gymkata/ , after reading the review I thought I'd check it but it only seems to be available on region 1 DVD which is no good to me because I can only play region 2, however the whole thing has been upped in good quality on youtube. I just watched it, awesomely bad! definitely has to be seen if you haven't seen it
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=2B8F120259C2609E&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL (this link will stream all 9 parts in succession, no need to click about) thanks for the heads up on this Andrew, hilarious film! Title: Re: GYMKATA (1985) Post by: Andrew on May 05, 2009, 08:08:53 PM It's hard not to love a movie that combines martial arts and gymnastics, then constantly places suspiciously-gymnastic items around so that the hero can use his powers.
(http://www.badmovies.org/movies/gymkata/gymkata7.jpg) What European village would be complete without a pommel horse in the center courtyard? Title: Re: GYMKATA (1985) Post by: zombie no.one on May 05, 2009, 09:10:13 PM I was actually LOL'ing @ that scene...plus it goes on for about 10 minutes.

Title: Re: GYMKATA (1985) Post by: Underbelly on May 13, 2009, 04:47:29 PM Probably one of the most ridicules films of all time. A ton of laughs! Mondo Movie Podcast did a bit about this show a while back. Worth listening to.

My favourite bad movie of all time ~ Andrew's review of it just makes it better. :teddyr: Title: Re: GYMKATA (1985) Post by: The Burgomaster on May 14, 2009, 05:47:28 PM Back in the 80s I worked in a video rental store. The manager was a 20-something airhead who probably got the job because she was good-looking (in sort of a trashy "needs lots of make-up to look good" way). Anyway, her ignorance of movies was obvious when she thought the name of this movie was "Jim Carter", like the former President . . . I wonder where she is today? Probably weighs 225 pounds and has 7 kids.
