Aw man. I should be used to celebrities dying off by now, but it's always a shock when a childhood favourite goes. Loved Dom in just about anything he did with Mel Brooks or Burt Reynolds, with Cannonball Run being a particular favourite. I also really loved Hot Stuff, the movie he directed, starred in and managed to get his whole family parts in. That one co-starred Jerry Reed and Suzanne Pleshette, both of whom were taken from us in the last year and a half.

The kids were watching an episode of Magic Schoolbus the other day, and Dom was the voice of a cook.  RIP Mr. DeLuise.

Not one of his better known films, but he and Burt Reynolds did one called THE END that I must have seen four or five times on TV when I was in high school - still one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.

Too bad the end had to come for poor Dom.

Rest in peace, you dear funny guy.

I loved THE END. Not easy to make suicide funny.

Dom did the definitive split-personality-arguing-with-himself routine.

Looking for a Youtube clip...

The HAUNTED HONEYMOON clip made me even sadder, because it featured Gilda Radner, another great talent taken from us waaay to early.

Dom Deluise was another of my childhood favorites who had died too soon. All the movies Dom Deluise did you guys talked about are my favorites too. I still rememeber when Dom did The Muppet Show back in the late 70's he acted so crazy on there.  R.I.P Dom.

Bummer man. Dom was just about the only actor that could take the edge off Burt Reynold's horrible acting. Without Dom, Burt would have looked as bad as he is in Cannonball, but Dom carried him.
