I'm stumped on this one. I remember seeing a movie on TV back in the 70's or early 80's. The only thing I can remember about is is that in the end, the killer, a woman, had been killing all the people who had forced her mother into prostitution in, I think, a Jewish brothel. In one scene a victim is seduced and killed in his bath. I seem to remember Walter Matthau in it as a detective of some sort, but I might be mixing this up with another movie. Any ideas? I checked out the work of Matthau, George Segal and Charles Durning, all of whom made some kind of off-beat detective fiction within the likely time window. I have to conclude that Matthau is simply mixed in from another movie through the flicking of TV channels. The nature and handling of the material makes me place it in the seventies to mid eighties. Many thanks for the good advice and consideration though. |
