Today, he came up to get his food and ... all I can say by way of description is that he's become a zombie cat. Half the skin on his face and neck is rotted away. Muscle and bone was visible. He looked deranged.
I should have just shot him but I figured I ought to call Mom first (her house). He ran away in the time it took to go get my phone. If he comes back, I'm putting him out of his misery. Pretty sure he just got bit on the neck by something that caused necrosis, and he scratched all the skin off and made the hole bigger. He hasn't been back.
