It's truly wonderful...!!" I defy you to give it 1 minute and if you're not hooked and watch the whole seven and a half, you are not human. The centerpiece retelling of the spider and fly is touching. This cartoon is bizarre, downright psychedelic (check out the very end) and jazz swingin', easily construed racist, yet, apparently in homage to black artists, how wonderful, and strange, this cartoon is after 72 years. Like maybe too many people, I fell in love with this movie, and it's been a favorite of mine for a long while now.

Watch Bela play Dracula in ABBOT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN. Totally different performance. He talks like...like he's not accustomed to communicating with humans. He speaks in non-squeters.(Did I spell that right?). Even a line like "I am taking only three boxes." sounds deadly sinister. Genuis. Beautiful. And all his movements are like a ballet. Great. One thing that I always remark on is the quick pace of DRACULA.
