Title: Messed up dreams
Post by: akiratubo on July 17, 2009, 09:34:13 AM
I just woke up from a dream in which Batman was fighting a criminal gang composed of The Penguin, Terry McGuiness (Batman Beyond), Jason Voorhees (as he appeared in F13 Part 2), and Voltron.

I had a dream last night that I can only describe as being inside a game of the "Desert Combat" mod for "Battlefield 1492". I saw a helicopter attacking an adjacent base with FFAR missiles, and I ran to engage it with a M249 SAW. I got there and it had moved to the base I had started from. When I was in the open between bases, heading back to engage it, it turned on me and (after for some reason I waved my arms to get it's attention), , well, , I don't remember after that, but it didn't seem to go well.

When I was a child, I dreamt that Mr. Blobbly lived next door in a wardrobe and would open up the wardrobe and stare at me through the window.

Here's a picture of the stalker of my childhood dreams...

Some of my current dreams are so disturbing that if I wrote them down the administrators would have to remove them...

Well, this one is just happen last night.  I am driving a car and I pull in the parking lot outside of the town's public pool, which is surprisingly full of rocks.  A lady that looks like Carol Barnet or something knocks on my window and roll it down to ask, "What?"  She then sprayed perfume in my face and I freakout, hitting the gas pedal and peeling out of the area.

I dreamt I had killed a 9yr old boy and dumped his rotting corpse in my trash.  :bluesad:

Ah, an opportunity to post this song.

All of a sudden, I can't remember any messed up dreams I had.
But how I crave nightmares...or for that matter, any dreams that aren't boring. Hell, these days, even the few dreams I have are dull.
Why can't I wake up to my own screaming at night? That would be a thrill.

I had a dream that I was cooking dinner for Dante from devil may cry while the seven dwarfs sat at the kitchen table singing papa roach songs

I rarely ever remember dreams, but I do seem to have quite a few where I have the ability to fly.    I really hate it when you're talking to one person in a dream and they turn into someone else.

I have two to report from last night.  In the first, I dreamed that overnight turkeys had evolved into carnivores.  I watched some very distrurbing footage of a turkey swallowing a frog whole, working it down his gullet.

The second dream was far more disturbing.  I met a board regular in real life.  To be precise, Jack.  But, instead of being a guy obsessed with seeing naked women, it turns out she was in reality a woman pretending to be a guy obsessed with naked women.

I hate saying it, but I have to: Jack was smokin' hot!  And (s)he was flirting with me something awful!

"If it wasn't for the headache, I would have thought I was in Heaven. Heaven for guys who like big tits."

Sadly, this fascination we have for bad movies does not translate to "Heaven." Usually, the best you can hope for is a woman who will tolerate the fascination with bad movies. But there is hope! I think of all the people I've met who love bad movies in real life, most of them have been women. I know, it's weird, but it has seemed to be the case.

I have to say, I actually look forward to bad dreams. Most of my dreams involve whatever I spent my day doing. I'm a student, so I've had a lot of dreams where I have to solve math problems. It's not very fun.

Quite often I have extended dreams involving zombies. The stories are usually quite complex. But what I've realized is that that most of my dreams begin to resolve themselves into actual stories right about the time I'm ready to wake up. I think it has something to do with consciousness reasserting itself. For most of your dream state, you are just sleeping. But once you are ready to wake up you will start putting all the various dream threads together into something that makes sense. Unfortunately, once that happens, you're back to full consciousness. The dream is over, you will never see the end of that dream.

But like I said, I look forward to disturbing dreams because I find them interesting. I "woke up" the other day, and I was still in my bed. From there I had a ghost attack me from my closet. It moved forward in discrete steps, like the girl from "The Ring." It didn't stop before it hit me, it just kept traveling through me. I woke up shivering.

Unpleasant, but more interesting than my dreams about math.

Most of my dreams are depressingly mundane.  I've actually dreamed about refilling a stapler once.

Last night, I had a kind of odd dream about my basement flooding.  Not too unbelievable, since my bedroom is in the basement and we've had water problems before, usually after heavy rains.

I've apparently DM'd games of Dungeons and Dragons in my sleep -- a former roommate was once woken by me saying "Roll a spot check" in my sleep.

Worst, most messed up dream I've ever had was my freshman year of college.  I dreamed an invisible demon had gotten loose into the world and was exterminating humanity one individual at a time, flaying them alive.  I made a plea deal with it -- it would leave me and my girlfriend alone, but in exchange I had to watch as it slaughtered everyone else I'd ever cared about.  I actually woke up screaming from that one.

I had a dream last night that my car, along with many others including my boss's truck, were on a big slab of ice floating in rough seas. Mine was right by the edge, and the ice broke and my car sunk. Somehow my Quad was either stolen or smashed, so I was dreading calling my insurance company for 2 claims at the same time.

The most disturbing dream I have ever had was while I was in high school. I was getting up to get ready to go school, and went to the bathroom to take a shower. When I turned on the light MC Hammer was standing there clad only in a towel wrapped around his waist.

" MC Hammer!" I said " what are you doing in my bathroom???"

He simply looked at me and said " STOP! Shower Time!" Then he proceeded to do the typewriter dance along the edge of the shower.

I am still recovering from that one nearly twenty years later. Horrific.

One other time I had a dream that I was in my house, but felt something was terribly wrong. I went outside and noticed everything was completely silent, no car sounds no birds, nothing. Looking up into the sky I saw that all the clouds had suddenly gained immense weight and were steadily falling. They crushed whatever they fell upon. That one was pretty bad.

Last night, I had a dream that I went into a haunted house (or something like that), and couldn't get out. Then, finally, I was able to break free. Only to discover that I was sent back a few hundred years to the past. And I knew that If I stay there, I would cease to exist because of some weird time paradox that the house created. So, I had to go back into the house, so that I could have the slightest chance to survive.
Kinda like a mix between Rose red and Back to the future.

And this night, I dreamed I was playing Tf2 in a cemetery. Not on the computer, mind you. I was a pyro.

How is this different from real life?
