Knowing. What a waste of potential. I wish I could get back that 2+ hours of my life, but Nic Cage is using that life-force to feed the beast that is his hairpiece. Also, the infamous 1939 exploitation flick Child Bride. Yuck.

Well one movie that would be a candidate to be burned if it had been made would have been Superman directed by Tim Burton and starring Nic Cage as the titular Kryptonian. Although the first drafts of the script were penned by Kevin Smith, he was fighting an uphill battle with producer Jon Peters. http://www.mania.com/superman-lives-part-2-writer-kevin-smith_article_21118.html (http://www.mania.com/superman-lives-part-2-writer-kevin-smith_article_21118.html)

Not wear the costume?? Chewbacca-like space dogs?? Gay robot sidekicks?? Thank the maker this cinematic suppository was never realized.   Crisis averted. On a side note Peters finally got his highly vaunted robot spider in The Wild Wild West.

I've griped about it before, but Death Tunnel should be burned, along with the two guys who made it.

If we burn bad movies, aren't we betraying the very reason for this website?  Leave these movies alone, I say!  Let them live!

Octopus 2, Frogs, Monster A Go-Go, Jaws 4, and Blood Beach just to name a few.

I've not seen all the rest, but 'Frogs' is IMO a classic poorly made B-Horror, the epitome of what this site is about. We'd not have much to say here if we got rid of everything on the level of 'Frogs' and worse.

I, for one, enjoy the badness of FROGS.  I remember when it used to be on late-night, weekend TV before the days of cable.  And now I'm a proud owner of the DVD.

While I do not believe in censorship, if anyone ever gave me a copy of KIDS IN THE HALL: BRAIN CANDY, I would gladly and joyfully consign it to the flames.  I might even do a little dance.

Any anti-South African / anti-apartheid film, but:

1. If the director has made a film which exposes racial injustice in his / her own country before making an anti-South African film (such as Phillip Noyce making Rabbit Proof Fence in Australia and then making Catch A Fire in SA) then that director and those productions is/are excused.

2. If a filmmaker chooses to ignore the problems in his / her / its' own country and chooses to focus on SA's supposedly unique problems in the past, then those films and their filmmakers should get a roasting.

Here's something that I recently came across that should be destroyed.  It is the so called 'sequel' to Snow White by Filmation and well... behold!

I remember actually owning this film (My mom loves princess movies) at one time, but I don't really remember ever watching it.  I must say though, for a really bad movie, it had an all star cast of actors.

Any Kevin Smith films except for 'Clerks'

from the wacky (Mall Rats, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back) to the pseudo-intellectual (Chasing Amy, Dogma)... I would gladly pay money for some scientist to make my mind 'un-watch' any of these films. They actually make me feel angry.

Clerks 2 was the absolute breaking point.

I like 'bad' movies, but these are worse than bad... (IMO)

Transformers 2.. I had just come out of Drag Me To Hell, and my friend was in the lobby. He asked me to go and see it with him at midnight the night it was released. I wish he hadn't been there now...

There are a few films out there that don't deserve to exist... but the most appalling of them all; the Queen-b*tch mother of all that is cinimatically atrocious is...

Moulin Rouge

...I was barely surviving the flu, when a girlfriend turned this on for me to "distract me" from the pain and nausea. I made it about 20min into the film before the will to have it destroyed conquered my physical ailments. I crawled slowly across the room, vomiting and sweating the entire way, until I passed out at the foot of my DVD player, luckily just after I was able to hit the power button with the last of my strength...

...I dumped the girl shortly after the experience.

I originally thought no movies should be burned but after spending the afternoon being tortured by the likes of scary movie and beerfest im ready to light the fire.   :hatred:   This is why I hide the remote from my dear husband.

LOL! I loved both of those films! Beerfest has some of the best one-liners in it and it's about beer... which also makes it good.

...and lets face it, this scene from Scary Movie was pretty hilarious:

Almost any romantic comedy - usually they're unfunny not to mention sickening

"The Lizzie McGuire Movie" -  :hatred: I saw this with my sister and a bunch of her obnoxious friends for her birthday one year in the theater. I still regret going.

"Spiceworld" - I have no idea why but when I was younger my mom took me and my older brother to see this in the theater. It was probably just to get out of the house but still...  WHY MOM!?

Now that I think of it, I have seen lots of crappy movies in the theater.  :bluesad:

How come every once in a while someone starts a post like this. I think they must be ready for my "use of emotional energy" speech

If you hate something so much you need to burn it, then you're wasting emotional energy for no cause.  When your really hate things, it's best to ignore them.

For example take "the I wasted two hours of my life on that movie" statement for hating a film. So,what do you do, you go around ranting how you hate it to anyone who will listen wasting more hours of your life on the same subject.  If you would just ignore the initial experience, your life would be calmer and you could get on with it without constantly reminding yourself of a negative experience.

If someone else brings it up, you just say "yeah, that sucked" (or some other appropriate phrase). and then drop the subject.

An ignored movie is much less likely come up on your radar than one that's constantly being fumed about.  Of course, you still have to worry about  weirdos like the ones
that inhabit this site that rant about what a classic it is.
