Title: Christmas in July + 9 films, 1 book, and a new reviewer at Wtf-Film
Post by: wtffilm on July 23, 2009, 03:40:57 AM
Hi all - big update here for today.

Firstly, my offering for the Christmas In July 2009 roundtable, the 1984 sci-fi-horror-comedy NIGHT OF THE COMET (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/23/night-of-the-comet/), posted a few moments ago.

Other reviews from the past two weeks are for the Danish / American monster opus REPTILICUS (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/20/reptilicus-2/), the straight-to-video horror satire MOTOR HOME FROM HELL (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/16/motor-home-from-hell/), the Richard Kiel caveman epic EEGAH (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/14/eegah/), the uber-disturbing Thai children's picture MAGIC LIZARD (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/13/magic-lizard/), the Filipino super-hero bash DARNA AT DING (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/09/darna-at-ding/), the Taiwanese giant monster kung-fu feature SEA GOD AND GHOSTS (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/06/sea-god-and-ghosts/), and Pier Paolo Pasolini's final masterpiece SALO OR THE 120 DAYS OF SODOM (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/07/salo-or-the-120-days-of-sodom/).

On top of those, I have also written my first book review for the site covering the 1962 Dean Owen movie tie-in END OF THE WORLD [novelization of PANIC IN YEAR ZERO] (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/21/end-of-the-world-by-dean-owen/).

As though that hasn't kept me busy enough, THE HORROR!? (http://houseinrlyeh.blogspot.com/)'s Denis Klotz has come on board for weekly reviews as well, contributing articles for the Indian bromance actioner QURBANI (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/10/qurbani/) and the new-age oddity GHOSTS THAT STILL WALK (http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/17/ghosts-that-still-walk/).  Be sure to visit his blog for even more cinema weirdness.

And that, I think, is it.  As always, thanks for reading.

Kindest regards,

Kevin P.
