Title: You knew you were in trouble when...
Post by: Doggett on September 09, 2009, 10:53:10 AM
Ever see a film that you're enjoying but then the film ruins itself ?

Here's a example of mine. I liked the Judge Dredd film until 5:26. Yep. Then I new things were gonna be bad.

So what film did you enjoy that had a turning point into rubbishness.

I know I am in trouble with any film when I see that the director, producer, writer, star, and/or any combonation of at least two of those is the same person. Two  of these being done by the same person means there is a 75% chance it will be bad, it's almost a guarantee if at least three were done by the same person, and if all four are done by the same person them there is no hope for the film.

...The film was directed, produced or written by Alan Smithee.  If you get the joke, look up that name.

Anacondas:  Hunt for the Blood Orchid - when the incredibly annoying comic relief character appears to get killed, but no, he lives!  After that the movie just circled around the toilet rim, round and round she goes, until reaching it's inevitable conclusion.

The Fifth Element - An interesting concept, very poorly executed, until Chris Rock's character shows up.  After that, I was like "Get me the f*** out of here NOW!!!"

When in Phantom Menace, they showed the little bastard as having invented/created C3PO. I knew the entire prequel idea was going nowhere from that alone.

I totally disagree with your statement on the Fifth element..for two reasons..one..it was an awesome story line with the perfect herion..second..chris rock was not in it..it was chris Tucker...  awesome movie....awesome B movie for sure...

Jim Varney as Dr. Otto Von Schnick-ick-ick-ick, a mad genius with a hand on top of his head. Yes... his head.

In The Movie THE ISLAND As Soon As Michael Bay's Unneccesary CGI Effects And Lifeless Characters Came On Screen I Knew There Was Going To Be Trouble

I Turned It Off Shortly After Michael Clarke Duncan's Character Got Shot Through The Legs With CGI Spearguns That Shot CGI Spears

Hehe... Chris Tucker and Dice made the movie worth watching.

Although... I knew there was trouble in the movie when Bruce Willis tried to hide people in his small house... It seemed unnecessary and unrealistic for the characters in the movie... :)

Me Tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

(At that point I lost all respect to George Suckass)

Jar Jar isnt as bad as the Story... I just find it funny that many "star wars fans" kept saying Jar Jar made the prequels bad... Those fans should stop living in denial all 3 prequels is rotten because the storyline sucks... :)

... when the movie was made by Michael Bay or Roland Emmerich

... when it seemed eerily similar to Curse of the Komodo even though I was sure that wasn't the movie I was watching.

... when it was produced by Nightlight Films or Platinum Dunes

Universal Soldier: The Return

I know, I know. However, at the beginning of the movie when the hand that had represented the computer system turned around and flipped us all off, I knew I was in for a rough time.

I was watching Identity at the theater and things snowballed the instant I found out John Cusack was a bald, fat guy.  WTF????
