Title: Dollars Or Bucks? Post by: Ash on September 18, 2009, 01:57:39 AM Just curious...
When you talk to another person about money, do you usually say, "dollars" or "bucks"? For example, you might one day exclaim: "Holy crap! That couch costs $3,000?!" Are you most likely to put "bucks" or "dollars" on the end of that sentence? Post by: Jack on September 18, 2009, 06:25:58 AM I think I usually say bucks, but I'm sure I use dollars sometimes too. I never really pay any attention - nobody told me there'd be a quiz  :teddyr:

Post by: dean on September 18, 2009, 09:38:07 AM Depends on the situation: At work it's generally dollars, with friends and in more informal situations it'll be mainly be bucks. Post by: Eyesore on September 20, 2009, 04:30:57 PM I usually say "bones", don't know why or when it even started. Unless someone is trying to get any amount of money from someone else then it's; "I want my 2 dollars!".
Title: Re: Dollars Or Bucks? Post by: The Burgomaster on September 21, 2009, 11:09:59 AM I probably say "bucks" about 80% of the time. Does anyone say "simoleons" anymore? About 10 or 20 years ago, "coin" was an overused term. "I don't have enough coin to buy that." I wasn't a big fan of that term.
