A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: THE DREAM CHILD (1989): http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/nightmare-on-elm-street-dream-child.html (http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/nightmare-on-elm-street-dream-child.html)
"This entry in the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET series was another weak one. Especially disappointing was the lack of deaths -- they were few, far between, and not even particularly gory. They were inventive, yes, but weren't as bloody as I'd expected. Instead we got a couple near-misses that were delightfully inventive, with the attempt on Yvonne's life looking like something out of BEETLEJUICE."

FREDDY'S DEAD: THE FINAL NIGHTMARE (1991): http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/freddys-dead-final-nightmare-1991.html (http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/freddys-dead-final-nightmare-1991.html)
"Spencer's next to go, sucked into a TV after watching an anti-drug commercial (with a cameo by Johnny Depp) and into a video game played by Freddy. This is easily the most cartoonish death so far in the series. It even references the Nintendo Power Glove."

WES CRAVEN'S NEW NIGHTMARE (1994): http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/wes-cravens-new-nightmare-1994.html (http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/wes-cravens-new-nightmare-1994.html)
"Craven it turns out is writing his nightmares, and in his dreams Freddy is a protean entity more ancient than imaginable who is trapped in the films in the form of Freddy Krueger. Now that the film series is over, Fredthulhu wants out into the real world, and to get out he has to go through Heather, since she (as Nancy) is his original enemy."

FREDDY VERSUS JASON (2003): http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/freddy-versus-jason-2003.html (http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/10/freddy-versus-jason-2003.html)
"A couple drunk guys stumble on Jason and, mistaking him for a local yokel, taunt him...until Jason twists one's head around and, while on fire, gives chase to the other. This might be one of the most impressive "guy on fire" scenes I've ever seen."

Whew! That was a worthwhile exercise, though I think it'll be a while before I review eight movies in 36 hours again.
