Title: Dad & Uncle Chain Teen to Bumper
Post by: Ash on October 08, 2009, 02:28:34 AM

This happened in Davenport, Iowa which is about an hour away from where I live.

From the comments on that page, it appears that the community supports the dad and uncle.
What do you think?

I bet the kid gets no sympathy from Jack about now. . .  :teddyr:

I would have at least run down to the hardware store and gotten a decent eye bolt to attach to the wall.  A rusty bumper in the house?  That's just bad parenting.

When I read the subject line, I thought they were dragging the kid behind a car.

But just locking him up in the house for 15 minutes? I dunno, I'm not ready to scream "child abuse" right off the bat. Sounds like the kid is a real hellion.

It doesn't sound like abuse but the act of a desperate parent. I will say as a mother of a child that is out of control at times, I feel for the dad. Hopefully this kid can get some help and he and his father can work things out.

So they won't help dad when the kid is beyond control but are going to rush in and save the little monster when dad is at his wits end. That is messed up. Hope the state enjoys it's future inmate.
