Title: R.I.P Vic Mizzy
Post by: Raffine on October 20, 2009, 07:11:50 PM
Vic Mizzy, a film and television composer best known for writing the memorable theme songs for the 1960s sit-coms "Green Acres" and "The Addams Family," has died. He was 93.

Sad to hear this, but he had a long, good life.

With the themes to Green Acres, The Addams Family, and scads of movies like THE GHOST AND MR. CHICKEN and  THE RELUCTANT ASTRONAUT Mizzy basically scored my childhood. Hopefully Mr. Mizzy will be ushered into the afterlife not with a chorus of harps but with a grunting bass harmonica.

He had a good long life.  Good night VIC, I for one have quite a few of your records!
