Title: THE MANSTER and THE SNAKE PEOPLE at Radiation-Scarred Reviews
Post by: Saucerman on November 23, 2009, 01:53:09 PM
THE MANSTER (1959): http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/11/manster-1959.html (http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/11/manster-1959.html)
"Even without the horror/science fiction elements, THE MANSTER presents a tight little story -- the stress of work and separation from his wife drives an American news correspondent to drink and from there into the arms of an exotic floozy. You've got yourself cinema gold right there. But throw in a monster, and suddenly it's B-grade territory. Eh, whaddya gonna do?"

THE SNAKE PEOPLE (1971): http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/11/snake-people-1971.html (http://radiation-scarred-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/11/snake-people-1971.html)
"Soon the natives are getting more and more restless, and the rituals wilder and wilder. A young woman is flogged to death by the dwarf Voodoo priest. Snakes turn up in Labesch's office. Drumming, constant drumming. Three-way girl-girl-python makeout scenes. A man is torn apart by beautiful women. Zombies are wandering around terrorizing people."

I reviewed THE SNAKE PEOPLE as part of the Boris Karloff blog-a-thon hosted by Frankensteinia: The Frankenstein Blog: http://frankensteinia.blogspot.com/ (http://frankensteinia.blogspot.com/)  The blog-a-thon is continuing until the 29th, and I'm probably going to contribute more to it before the end of it.
