When I was a kid I remember watching a movie that a teenager was trying to beat a video game where the final level was jumping a bridge or canyon with a motorcycle but he always crashed. He road a dirt bike throughout the movie and towards the end there was some kind of takeover or something where he was helping people escape and they all loaded up in a dumptruck but the bridge. They are going down the road and there was a bridge out so he had to jump it in turn figuring out how to beat the game. Its been 20 somethin years sense I have seen this and that all I can remember. Probably wrong, but the 1988 remake of The Blob has a character trying to jump a ravine on a motorcycle, but he chickens out.  Later in the movie, he's trying to escape from someone, and finally manages to complete the jump.  He rides the motorcycle throughout most of the film.  But there's absolutely nothing having to do with video games in the movie.

I just watched it and thought it was it at first but im pretty sure one of the last scenes in the movie was jumping a bridge with a dump truck or some type of big rig. Im not sure he was working on a video game, maybe he was just trying to figure out the math of the jump. Thanks

I think I vaguely recall the film you're talking about.  But, I can't really give any more details.  So, just chiming in to tell you you're not crazy or misremembering too much.
