What are the rules of this game?  I can't figure it out.

Simple, the game is about trying to get a certian show's score down to 0 or up to 60.  You can SAVE a show by rewarding it two points to get up to 60 while also doing a KILL on another show to get it down to 0.  Once a certian show is done, the person who finished it off, he or she can nominate a new show.  That's pretty much how it goes.

Plus you can only vote your KILL and SAVE once per day.

I just noticed that there's a problem with this game.  There are 6 choices instead of 5, which means votes will be more divided and it will take longer to move anything into the Hall of Fame or Shame.  Personally I think after the first one gets killed/saved, it shouldn't be replaced.

I still dont get how this game works, but Ren an' Stimpy, Rocko, AND Zim all RULE, Samuri Jack is cool too, but it reminds me of my ex. Scooby Doo is lame (eccpecially the newer ones) and Ive never really watched Rocky An' Bullwinkle, but I think I'd probobly dislike it.

Every day you can vote to KILL one (-2) and SAVE one (+2).  Every choice starts off with 30 points.  When 60 is reached they go into the Hall Of Fame.  When 00 is reached they go into the Hall Of Shame.  If you happen to knock one off the list, then its up to you to choose the next one.  You can only vote once a day.

It's OK, I just like the others better.  To be honest, even as a kid I never really liked superheroes in any form (except for Adam West's Batman, which I realized was a comedy and not a serious thing). I probably should post that in the "against the grain" thread.   

I heard that this series was good, tuned in for an episode or two, and just thought it was typical superhero stuff.  Just not my bag.

My feelings on Batman: The Animated Series is I like it better than any other cartoon in history. I consider it the best animated work there is. Aside from Batman and Rocko though and being indifferent about the Flintstones, I loathe the other two on this list.

......After stubbornly defending anything 90's related as I always do, I've turned a new leaf. Usually when it comes to my turn on this game, i just put the "kill" button on Rocky and bullwinkle, as all the others are usually cartoons i watched growing up as a kid, like rocko, ren an stimpy, TMNT, Rugrats, and the like. But having never really payed atention to R&B, i had my doubts as to whether or not it deserved to die. Well, i just watched a few episodes of R&B, and it charmed the pants offa me, so i no longer have the heart to kill it.

After seeing so many starting to vote for Rocky and Bullwinkle, I thought it time I gave it a second chance and you know, it really isn't at all bad. In fact, it's kind of clever. Not sure what I didn't like about it in the past...maybe that some episodes move from plot action to plot action with little explanation as to how we get there. Still there's many elements there that are similar to why I also love Animaniacs.

Boring? I certainly don't agree with that. It was one of the most adult, most intelligent cartoons of its era. Unfortunately several of the episodes are not politically correct so we'll probably never again see it in its full original form.

Again I apologize for the inconvience.

Well, Popeye had his own cartoon.  I remember, somewhat, Bugs having some sort of show of his own, but it was short lived.  But I'd think most people would remember him as part of the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies group that was so popular.  Cause I loved the stuff they had him doing when interacting with the other characters as opposed to the "Just" Bugs stuff.  So people voting for Popeye are voting for his overall show, etc., and not the "character' himself.  No problems. :wink:

Yeah, but just like there were various show featuring Bugs, there were various Popeyes, from the original Fleischer Bros. versions to the King Features Syndicate versions to new TV versions in the 70s and 80s.  I'd say treat Popeye, Bugs, Tom & Jerry and so on as one show, even if several different series' were made in different decade.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing there.  But what I'm getting at is, there should be some specifications.  Scooby Doo had several shows, so seeing as Scooby Doo, Where Are You? is already in, could someone, in essence, also nominate say, A Pup Named Scooby Doo? Or Tom and Jerry Kids? Or The Flintstones Kids?  And, we could re-nominated the Ninja Turtles, as their 2003 show was better than the '80s version.  That's happened once already, as I nominated Space Ghost: Coast to Coast even though it's the same character. :question:  Probably just over-thinking on my part, I was just curious. :teddyr:

In the end, I liked Daffy Duck better than Bugs. :wink:

Pro Environment? Like Captain Planet?

Well yes and no. The Barbapapas were a family of shapeshifting blobs who could turn into anything. In many ways they reminded me of a family of hippies going around trying to help others. In one episode they actually cleaned up all the Earth's garbage, burying it all and using their shapeshifting abilities to clean up the planet. They could pretty much turn into anything which helped although it was a bit weird to see smiling tractors and suitcases and whatever...as a kid, I kind of liked it but I don't consider it up to the level of the others currently on the list.

Nomination:  Extreme Ghostbusters (One of the few cartoons I can think of that's an actual SEQUEL series to it's predeccesor and not just a rehash.  It was well written, less comical, and featured Egon in his mid to late '40s training college age kids to be the next batch of 'Busters.)
