Title: Little Kid in Trouble For Lego Gun
Post by: InformationGeek on February 04, 2010, 05:10:08 PM
This has to be one of the most stupid things I have ever heard.  The kid shouldn't be suspended for that lego piece.

Yeah that is ridiculous! He is 9! and the gun was only 2 inches! - what kind of idiot would think a 2 inch lego gun was real. Some people take things too far.

Lego.  Lego.  A two-inch lego gun.  Good grief.  I think they should be more concerned about what those people must be smoking!

Paula, one of my childhood memories growing up in what was then Rhodesia was welcoming my Dad home from a stint on the border and him giving me this (after making quite sure that it was unloaded) to carry around:

He would always say "Here, son, go scare the crap out of the neighbours."  :teddyr:

This is almost as bad as the kid about 15 or so years ago who was pulled out of school and heavily psychoanalyzed because he pointed a chicken nugget at someone and said, "Bang."  It's ridiculous, and it's not really helping the situation with school violence at all.

One of the neighbours saw me with this submachine pistol and called the cops who asked her if she knew the young person's name. When she told them my name, they said "Oh that's Tommy's son. Not a danger."  :teddyr:
