Looks interesting.  I'm a big fan of the original Predator, and felt extremely let down by the sequals.  Just have to wait and see ....

It looked okay until some glossy CGI bullcrap seeped in toward the end of that clip...

Yeah this footage looks great!

Definitely looks like it could be better than Predator 2 - and of course the AvP movies

I actually have a soft spot for Predator 2.  But this one I'd probably pick up on video when it comes out.   Its nothing I really need to see in the theater.

The AvP movies killed the franchise for me.  And it's kind of hard to un-kill something.

Well, on the plus side, there has been talk about that.  Other than, apparently, some kind of predator "dog" the creatures are 100% guys in suits.  And there's minimal green screening.  It's almost entirely real location.  Probably partly a budgetary consideration (wiki has it at 45 million), but it makes me hopeful.  A good cast helps too.  I'm not expecting a great deal, but Nimrod Antal is a competent director and the original script is based on one by Robert Rodriguez, who also produced.  Basically, a lot more talent is involved in this one than in the AVP movies.

I'm not sure how I feel about the decision to have new predator designs (there is a predator that looks like the old ones in this as well - this movie expands the universe by indicating there are multiple types of preds, different "clans" if you will).  But, there's hope.

It also doesn't bode well for me when you have a director called "Nimrod".  :tongueout:

Erm...

Just looks like the first Predator movie.

But with more predators.

I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not expecting anything special.

Please be an 18 !!!

I also loved the first Predator, and felt the franchise went downhill from there. Nice to see it's getting back to its roots, as far as settings and characters. I trust Robert Rodriguez to know how to direct this kind of movie, Laurence Fishburne is always good, and I don't know that I've disliked any movie with Danny Trejo in it.
