Title: Saturday Nightmares Expo (Jersey City, New Jersey) Post by: Scott on March 28, 2010, 09:06:02 PM Went to the Saturday Nightmares Expo in Jersey City, New Jersey last weekend. Met George Romero and most of the cast and crew from all of his films. They also showed NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1968), DAWN OF THE DEAD (1978), and CREEPSHOW (1982) On the big screen in the landmark Loew's Theater which first opened in 1929. Great venue for a horror convention. Here's a quick video that I was able to put together.

That's cool that you got to see George Romero and that crew. I met Leonard Nimoy, Avery Brooks, Tony Todd, and Phil Morris last year at a trek convention. By the way the following weekend at the same Loew's Theater in Jersey City they showed NIGHT OF THE HUNTER, KING CREOLE, and ON THE WATERFRONT on the big screen. It would be great to have one of those 1929 palace type theaters in ones hometown. Happy Easter everyone. |
