Title: Strange clay monsters on a work bench and skellington in doorway
Post by: Amethyst on March 29, 2010, 08:42:07 AM
Another creepy thing I remember from childhood;

The setting is a cluttered workbench and the lighting is dark and unsettling to match. Then little clay stopframe blobs appear and sorta, wiggle about. Then I think they start killing eachother or someone else kills them.

Oh and for some reason ( whether its the same film I dunno) I clump it together with the image of a man walking into a door, there being a flash of lightning/shock revealing the man's skellington as it falls to the floor. Then I think someone goes in afterwards to look.

I wonder if what you remember is Will Vinton's "The Adventures of Mark Twain" (1986).  The whole movie is done in claymation.  There is a quite adult and dark section to that film, which could well be your memory.

Simply nightmarish.... my god..... :: shudder :: That was 10 times scarier than any horror flick I've seen in the last five years.

No sorry, I have seen that but it was definately on a workbench and the clay monsters were more simple; just blobs with eyes.
