So this answers the question: How could it be worse? The guy who wrote BATMAN AND ROBIN?! I think I'm gonna hurl..... The TOXIC AVENGER "reimagining" the article details is just lame and corny. And it is absurd that both films would even be considered for remake. TOXIC AVENGER and REAL GENIUS were successful in the VHS market, not at the box office, and certainly TOXIC AVENGER is a kind of classic (a Gorehound's classic) yet you know some twit in Hollyweird thinks these types of "remakes" are cash cows 'cause of their cult status... y'know like BEWITCHED or THE STEPFORD WIVES or whatever. Doomed. "...The 'Real Genius' remake is being developed by Ron Howard's Imagine Entertainment. The cast and director have yet to be announced, though casting Kilmer as Professor Jerry Hathaway (originally played by William Atherton) would be a stroke of ... well, genius..."
