Title: It came from the fridge (Horrifying tales of things long forgotten) Post by: wickednick on April 09, 2010, 09:51:40 PM So here is something that could easily go on the the "to disgusting to discuss" pile but having a taste for the sadomasochism; I wonder what has been the most terrifying thing you ever pulled out of your fridge.
A while back I found a jar of jelly that I had forgotten. Knowing I shouldn't, but I was curious anyways I opened it up and discovered a gelatinous fuzzy glob growing inside. It was white with some black spots and a funky sort of smell kinda musty and sweet at the same time. A second experience occurred with a old bottle of chocolate milk. What was inside was no longer milk, as it had separated into a clear water substance at the bottom and a gelatinous brownish substance floating on top. I didn't bother opening the container as I was far from curious as to what it could smell like. One time I had...um...something in a bag that I left in my desk at work. I'm thinking it was an apple. Anyways, when I found "it", it was a lump of squishy material with a bunch of fruit flies around it.
Another time, my wife had forgotten a yogurt in the trunk of her car in 90 degree weather. She found it a week later smelly rather foul. My boss at work told me a story once of how his sister bought a chicken once. She didn't know it was in the trunk until the car starting smelling. He said the chicken was blue when they found it. Lastly, during winter one year I had about 3 12 pks of Coke I had forgotten about explode in the trunk of my old car. When I opened it in spring it was awful to clean. |
