Title: Ya Ever?
Post by: Ash on May 21, 2010, 03:22:06 PM
Think of something funny or weird you've done in your life and add the words "Ya ever" at the beginning. (be sure to end it with a question mark)

Ya ever put toothpaste on your toothbrush only to have the bristles flick some back right in your eye?
It stings!

Yup.

For those in Twelve Step programs:
Ya ever had that awkward moment outside of meetings, involving the Twelfth Tradition?
...On live radio?

Ya Ever had your back go out while you're on the toilet, leaving you stuck there, wondering whether or not you should call for help?

Ya ever pass gas and crap your pants by accident?  (There's a story behind this . . . )

Ya ever shown up the first day for work in loose fitting pants, and forgotten to put on your belt?

Ya ever rip your pants in the butt big-time at work and have to find a cheesy way to cover it up so people won't notice?
(I was performing janitorial duties and a small bit of worn thread became a big rip when I bent over.. so I stuck a trash liner in my back pocket and let it hang over the rip.)

Ya ever absent-mindedly put the cereal in the fridge and the milk in the cupboard? And not realized it until about 20 minutes later?

I had a ripped hole in the butt area of my sweat pants at work once. I tied my sweatshirt around my waist. It looked silly but saved the day

Ya ever try opening a car door with a key, wonder why the car isn't opening and only end up realizing after a 5 minute struggle its not your car?

A few years ago I was on a business trip in Arizona with a girl from my office.  One morning, she drove the rental car to our client's office and I was in the passenger seat.  At lunch time, we went out to the car to drive to a restaurant.  As I was getting into the passenger side I noticed a granola bar on the seat.  I didn't bring it and I didn't remember my co-worker bringing it.  But I didn't think about it too much . . . just moved the granola bar and sat down.  My co-worker got in the driver's seat and tried to start the car.  Either the key didn't fit all the way into the ignition or the car wouldn't start when she turned it (I can't quite remember the exact circumstances . . . I just remember she couldn't start the car).  We looked at each other for a second or two, then realized we weren't sitting in our rental car . . . we were in one of the client's employees cars.  That's what people get for leaving their doors unlocked (which may be common in Arizona, but not in the greater Boston area where I come from).
