My only real complaint about this movie was how it looked. It's too dark. It fits the mood and everything and this is England we are talking about, I'm not going to complain about the total lack of sunshine, but even with zooming it I still had to squint a little.

That said, this is a really really good horror movie. It's got plot holes and follows the well worn formula of the killer slowly picking everyone off but so what!

a kid who always gets picked on kills himself. The delinquents in his group are forced to go to an island for an Outward Bound sort of thing. I don't know anythign about the british penal system but the kids seem a little dangerous to be out on an island away from security together. As one of the characters points out, the delinquents outnumber the middle aged counselor guy and probably could all take him individually anyway.

No time to think about that though, there is a psycho in the woods with a bow and arrow and amazing aim who won't stop shooting them. WHo is he and why is he doing this?  Are the big bullies victims of their own bully? Is it cosmic payback or not so cosmic payback, is the guy with the bow and arrow somehow connected to the kid who died?

The acting and writing are really good. you've seen it all before but see it again. some gruesome imaginative deaths.

4.5/5 only because of the squint

I liked this as well but I have a thing for Sean Pertwee and see everything he is in.   :teddyr:
