Title: Hooters waitress told she weighed too much
Post by: sprite75 on May 22, 2010, 10:49:48 PM
Meet Cassie Smith, 20 - who had worked at a Detroit area Hooters until recently.  She was informed (http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/dpp/news/local/hooters-server-says-she%27s-on-weight-probation) at her two year performance review that she weighed too much and had 30 days to drop some weight.  The story reported Cassie was 5'8" and weighed about 132 pounds.

Leaving whether this was right of Hooters to do this or not aside for a moment, I don't think it was a good idea for Hooters to send this guy out to greet a TV news crew;

I've always wanted to eat at Hooters, mainly for the wings.  If I want to see T&A I'll go to the strip club.

As for this case, I don't get it.  I'm not sure where she was supposed to lose the weight from.  Perhaps KFC should do a counter promotion and have all buxom ladies serving up some chicken.  If they go through with that, I'm expecting royalties btw.  Was that regional managers a yokozuna at one point in his life?

If Hooters loses that weight discrimination suit, they'll be facing a "hefty" fine...

Meh, I used to like Hooters when I was younger.  Nowadays, it's overpriced, mediocre food served by girls with muffin tops.

I'd say there's a fat chance the waitress wins.

I'm betting her lawyer will get a plump paycheck if she does.

I don't know what you have to gain from all these tasteless jokes.

In these difficult financial times Hooters is merely trying to trim the fat.

Sounds like quite the titular news story.
