I don't remember anthologies ever publishing works for the first time. Has the business changed that much? It could be, with very few magazines to submit short fiction to anymore.

Most places, even for anthologies, want non-exclusive first written and electronic publishing rights these days. There isn't a whole lot in the way of magazines left to submit to. These days, it's mostly websites with e-zines or publishing companies that make anthologies. This one will be a hard one to get in on, what with there being some big names who still submit to it.
