Title: Japanese cartoon: end 80s- mid 90s, about corporation selling water, thirst Post by: felixthecat01 on August 09, 2010, 07:30:34 AM Hi once again.
First of all, I would like to thank a badmovies.org team for creating such a great forum. Here goes another quiz: I remember watching a Japanese cartoon (something similar to transformers in drawing style), where a big corporation was selling water to people. The more water they drunk, the more thirsty they were. Finally, everybody who was drinking, mummified and became dust. Another guy (superhero, I suppose) was trying to stop this corporation. It seemed to me like a propaganda against Coke and Sprite. :) Thanks in advance. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159387/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159387/) Reading the synopsis of it on imdb makes me think this is not the right film, but it does have sort of a super hero/secret agent versus a corporation. The one scene I remember was the ending battle which takes place at the pyramids in Egypt. Soon after we learn the truth about God, he gets squished. It probably doesn't help that I saw this on a fan-subbed VHS many years ago. Yeah this was a shot in the dark, but it sounds like what the OP is looking for is probably an animation that was produced in the '80s. It had been so long since I had seen Crystal Triangle that I only had the vaguest memories of it.
