This list covers basically everyone from every where.  The movies, the books, the games, the comics, and everything in between.  All I can say is this: If you don't see number one coming, how is that possible?

Don't worry folks.  Jar Jar Binks was not on the list, mostly like because he was number 837 at best.

How is Jar Jar NOT on the list.  He's my personal favorite character next to Yoda.  And I'm not even a big fan of Star Wars.

Initially I was a little surprised to see Luke so low, seeing as how he's the hero of the classic trilogy.  But I guess it goes to prove that sidekicks and villains make for more memorable characters than heroes. 

I personally like the Stormtrooper in A New Hope that gets shot. 

Personally, I thought Wedge should have been higher on the list, and that everyone who placed after the ewok should just go ahead and kill themselves. Except for the Rancor Keeper. He's cool. And I can't believe that Leia didn't rank higher--she wore a metal bikini and everything! And it's possible--just barely, but still possible--that I might rank Jar Jar Binks a half step higher than Salacious Crumb.

And how the *%#& many rug rats did Han Solo father anyway? They seem to take up a third of the list. I'm glad I never went any further with the Star Wars universe than the movies. And I still say that ep. IV is the only one still worth watching.

 My favorite is Grand Admiral Thrawn.

 I liked JJB too, BTW.

Wedge I honestly think should be in the top 10.  He pretty much represents the term "unsung hero".  

I kind of have a soft spot for Salacious Crumb. I found his laugh amusing.  

Admiral Ackbar should be in the top 10 as well.  Come on, who else can make three words a catch phrase?  Actually, just about anyone but still...he's an octopus in a white uniform.

#88 Gilad Pellaeon. The only Star Wars character I've seen or read for whom I had any empathy. And like most characters for whom I have empathy, I gave him a nickname, so I started calling him affectionately "The Old Man." But darn, I didn't know he got killed off, as the only time I read about him was in Tim Zahn's "Heirs of the Empire." But I shouldn't be surprised, of the 54 fictional characters in books, for whom I have some empathy, 46% were killed off before the end of the book, 36% more  were wounded before the end of the book, and only 18% survived without a scratch by the end of the book.

Television and films are the same or worst. I had some empathy for a character called Ceeto, played by Karim Malicki Sanchez, in the TV program "War of the Worlds." I saw only the first episode he was in, only to find out he was killed off at the conclusion of the series. Of the 25 television and film characters for which I had some empathy, 60% were killed off before the end of the program or film, 12% were wounded before the end of the film or program, and only 28% escaped without a scratch by the end of the program.
