The Hills Have Raves ... Seven friends in a RV are on their way home from a rave, and take a detour and get stuck in the desert. What follows is Wes Craven's sandy terror classic retold, The Asylum way. I fell in love with this trashy rip off right away: dumb but sympathetic characters, bad but funny dialogue, pathetic but still mean villains. The most memorable from the cast was Loopz, a corny white guy talking hip hop in the most cheesy way. He maintained the booty rap throughout serious moments as well. Brilliant. Detour is very entertaining and bad movie lovers should get a kick out of this one. |
