Title: The most BORING movie ever
Post by: Thema on March 29, 2001, 04:14:22 AM
What is the most boring movie by your opinion?
I thin it's The Megaforce.
I have tried to watch it many times but I never get further than 20 minutes and fall asleep.

The Main Man at Dante's Inferno ,According to Andrew, saw that one, and lived. Respect him! I take one look at the heros teeth, and feel like Robert Shaw when Speilberg said,"Okey, once more into the shark, bob, and remember, the teeth are rubber,i promis they won't hurt!" If you must see it, do so among strong friends...that way, someone can dial 911.

The Freddy Kreuger(Robert Englund) version of Phantom of the Opera comes to mind as excessively boring.  When I saw it, people in the theatre started screaming at the screen to stay awake.  At the time, I first thought them ill-mannered & wanted to give the film a chance.  I gave it a chance.  I should have been screaming.

Last Year at Marienbad is the most boring film ever made.

Jonathon Livingston Seagull is the second place winner.

Here, bloody here.  But if Ken is comparing JLS to Last Year, I'm dropping the unwatched copy I have into a vat of cement.

Ah, no, I don't think so.  The House That Vanished is the worst, most boring, movie ever made.  Check out our review on the Brotherhood of Bad Movies (shameless plug, ha!) site for some vehement rantings of hatred.  Braineater.com is the only other site I know of that has wandered across that putrid pile of caveman cat stew vomit.  Woof.

AMISTAD is the most boring movie I've ever seen. I like to call it AMISLEEP.

I never found the Robert Englund version to be boring; I really enjoyed it, and considering what little gore effects there were, they were very effective; too bad the print released in the United States was censored a bit (damn those censors!).  I thought that the nastiest gory part of the film was where the blond woman found that skinned man in her armoire (that blood was very realistic-looking; it was very thick, and seemed to the have the texture that real blood has).  Anyway, the acting wasn't bad either; Englund was sympathetic, yet warped, and the girl who played Christine brought a great air of innocence to her role.  The only downside: after a while, the high-pitched opera singing began to grate on my nerves (not to mention my ears).  However, the orchestrated music (and especially the piano music) was absolutely beautiful.
