Simon MacCorkindale, Dashing British Actor, Dies at 58
Simon MacCorkindale, the dashing British actor who turned heads in the star-studded 1978 film “Death on the Nile” and went on to play villains and charming Englishmen on numerous television shows in Britain and the United States, died on Thursday in London. He was 58.
The cause was cancer, the BBC reported...

Goodbye, Manimal.  I saw MacCorkindale in a LOT of movies and TV shows and enjoyed his performances every time.  I even watched *ick* Night Man just because he was in the episode.  Tomorrow, I think I'll marathon a few movies I've got with him in them.

Back in the 80's I recall MacCorkindale's name was high on the list as the new James Bond. Unfortunately that never happened. Bad movie fans might recall him as the dare-devil scuba diver who's corpse gets to ride around clutching a hand grenade in the shark's mouth at the end of JAWS 3(D).

He was married to British actress Susan George, who was a staple in Brith horror movies and tv series in the 70's and 80's. I vividly remember her in the Tales of the Unexpected episode "Royal Jelly".

RIP, Dr. Chase.
