Don Van Vliet, popularly known as Captain Beefheart, has passed away from complications with MS. DON VAN VLIET was extraordinarily quiet about his personal life, particularly as he grew older, though his MS had been semi-acknowledged. DON followed his original calling as a painter and quite a good one. DON was a child prodigy, TV personality, recording artist, and painter all in one life.
