Title: Superbug, the Craziest Car in the World
Post by: NikiD on December 20, 2010, 01:23:00 PM
So I am actually looking for a show where this movie was featured one night a few months back.  Maybe someone on here has seen it.  I live in San Diego and don't know if it's a local thing or if it shows in other parts of the country.  Anyway, it's an Elvira-like TV show where the "host", a strange dude with dark hair and a mustache plays segments of B movies and makes funny comments throughout.  Ring any bells?

Oh, the movie itself is a bad German one about a yellow bug that's kind of Knightrider-esque - it talks, there are a lot of lights and sounds, and it's racing over the Alps.

Try "The Love Bug Rally."  That's likely to be your film.  I've had it on my want list for a while.

EDIT TO ADD:  Looks like this is likely the third (yikes!) entry in this German copy of the Herbie movies, no official English translation for the title:

Ein Käfer auf Extratour (A Beetle on Extra Tour)

dudu der verueckteste auto der welt (the craziest car in the world)

I saw it as a child in badly dubbed English. I saw it again in German when I was learning the language - it still doesn't make sense
