I was watching the news this morning and I was totally blown away by this.

What the hell's going on? Do we want to know?!? This story is TOO strange.

A day later they discovered around 100,000 dead fish (http://articles.cnn.com/2011-01-02/us/arkansas.fish.kill_1_massive-fish-dead-birds-bird-deaths?_s=PM:US) in nearby Ozark, AK.

Something is truly amiss in Arkansas. Maybe it the revenge of the Boggy Creek Fouke Monster.

Actually,Charles Fort had been reporting this kind of stuff back in the 1920's! Birds,fish,frogs,rocks,nuts,flesh...all sortsa weird stuff.

I suspect fowl play . . .  or maybe a poultrygeist!

Actually, a follow-up on the news stations (a press conference with local authorities) revealed that it may, MAY have been a state of panic the birds went into after hearing all the fireworks going off over the holiday weekend, causing them to fly into things.

Some of them looked like their necks were broken, (twisted all the way to one side) which would indicate some sort of impact.  But, whatever it was, this is definitely one strange way to start the New Year..

I love Charles Fort's books! He not only reports on all sorts of strange and unexplained phenomena but he had a delighfully bizarre writing style.

That we've been damned by giants sound asleep, or by great scientific principles and abstractions that cannot realize themselves: that little harlots have visited their caprices upon us; that clowns, with buckets of water from which they pretend to cast thousands of good-sized fishes have anathematized us for laughing disrespectfully, because, as with all clowns, underlying buffoonery is the desire to be taken seriously; that pale ignorances, presiding over microscopes by which they cannot distinguish flesh from nostoc or fishes' spawn, have visited upon us their wan solemnities. We've been damned by corpses and skeletons and mummies, which twitch and totter with pseudo-life derived from conveniences.

What the heck it means; I dunno. But its a great read!  :teddyr:

Or perhaps a new chemical agent that was being tested.... either that or Trevor must've taken his undies off and left them in the field again.   :buggedout:

I'm a proud Fortean meself!  :teddyr:

He's not an easy read....but after  you get about halfway through one of his books....it starts to make a bizzare kind of sense..very addicting!...my favorite of his books is WILD TALENTS.

For those unfourtanates not familiar with his wonderful works, they are-
.BOOK OF THE DAMNED
.LO!
.NEW LANDS
.WILD TALENTS

He was even reporting on the UFO phenomenom as far back as 1923!
