Post by: RCMerchant on January 25, 2011, 06:41:04 AM
Paul played Agent Lee Hobson,Elliot (Robt.Stack) Ness's right hand man in the early 60's crime show the UNTOUCHABLES.
Back in the early 70's,on channel 28 here in SW Michigan, the UNTOUCHABLES played back to back with HIGHWAY PATROL on Saterday afternoons....ultra viloent for tv of the sixties!

I like this clip from Youtube....he seems like a very nice man....

He was a very close friend of Greenville legend Audie Murphy, and spoke here on a number of occasions.  A great guy by all accounts.

I remember watching The Untouchables in WOR 9 (New York)  as a little guy in the early 1970's.  I loved the car chases and the shootouts and just everyhting about it. As Elliot Ness, Robert Stack was one of the good guys!

Many of the shows I watched as a kid were reruns of old stuff, and as one who got to see most of this stuff, I count myself truly lucky to have lived thru the end time of what was perhaps the greatest TV generation (with the 80's getting runner up for it's day!)

I remember reading about the fight he had with Andre de Toth which degenerated into DeToth reflecting on Paul's heritage and calling him a chickensh*t coward into the bargain. This was about the guillotine scene in House of Wax. RIP, Paul.
