Title: HOUSE OF THE WOLFMAN (2009)
Post by: venomx on February 10, 2011, 03:12:38 PM
"Five strangers are invited to a castle under the pretense that one may inherit it. Little do they know what dangers await at the House of the Wolfman." Starring Ron Chaney!

Did anyone here ever see this movie? I'm ordering it on Ebay next week.
I've just found out about it last night... It looks GREAT!

Any thoughts on this? I'm curious to find out what other fans of monster movies think. Thanks.

I HAVE heard of this-It's a hommage to the old Universal HOUSE OF films of the 40's. A fan-thing. Looks fun. Too bad they couldnt get Bela Jr. and Sarah Karloff roles.

GOOD NEWS!

SPOILER ALERT!       SPOILER ALERT!         SPOILER ALERT!        SPOILER ALERT!       SPOILER ALERT!       SPOILER ALERT!        SPOILER ALERT!        SPOILER ALERT!      SPOILER ALERT!       SPOILER ALERT!        SPOILER ALERT!        SPOILER ALERT!       SPOILER ALERT!

There is a great battle between the Frankenstein Monster and the Wolf Man that makes the feeble little tiff in FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLF MAN look like a SISSY BOY SLAP PARTY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHc3pKsUIas). Best part has the Wolf Man partially peeling off the top of the Monster's square head! Yeeech! A remarkable Lugosi look-a-like Dracula joins in!  !

BAD NEWS!

This takes up about ten minutes. It comes at the very end and it's the only time any of the monsters appear in the film. The rest is a terrible talk-fest with performers that over-act like they are in a high school play. Unfortunately Chaney Jr ( Jr Jr?) is the worse of the lot.

There's a scary (armless!) witch in the attic and a couple of Lobo-ish goons, and that's about it.
