From HORROR OF DRACULA (1958) to ALICE IN WONDERLAND (2010) Grough always added class to any film in which he appeared. He was a great 60s villain in films like KONGA, THE BLACK ZOO, and TROG.

RIP, Mr. Grough.

RIP. Always a welcome and classy presence in a movie.

A sad day for sure, but a man who lived a full life and had an established movie career long before he became Batman's butler.  Rest In Peace, indeed.  :bluesad:

OH NO!!!! Micheal Gough was great. I loved him in KONGA,HORRORS of the BLACK MUSEUM,and the BLACK ZOO-a favorite.

Very sad....all the oldtime horror actors are gone   :bluesad: . Only Christopher Lee and Barbra Steele remain.

A great actor who left an awesome film legacy behind.  The last film I viewed with him in it was Trog.  He played a good sleazeball in that one. RIP

Sad to hear, he always did well in the parts he played.  He gave life to characters he played that I think would have lacked something without him.

I think my favorite (albeit brief) appearance of MICHAEL GOUGH was at the very end of THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE.
Good night, MICHAEL.

Good night, MICHAEL.

I  remember that!!!! They found the mummified corpse of Micheal Gough with artificial legs...! And Roddy McDowall started howling like a banshee! Wonderful.
Thats what it's all  about.. He left great memories for his fans. Dam. I feel very old. All my heros are dying. You were loved,Micheal Gough.

Wow, never realized that was him at the end of Legend of Hell House.

He's definitely my favorite Alfred.  While Michael Caine is great and has a better written role, in terms of personifying the character Gough was unparalleled.

On the plus side, he lived to 94 and from what I've heard from Michael Caine (him and Gough were friends) he was in excellent shape til near the end of his days.  And his log of films is a lot of fun.  As a final note, his final (voice only) role was in the Burton Alice in Wonderland, as the Dodo Bird.  Small role, never placed him in it.

I didn't realize he was the voice of the Dodo in Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND last year until I read his obituary.

I can't say enough good things about Micheal Gough. He was the succsesor to Lionel Atwill-the mad doctor with a vision....part of my childhood goes with his death. I grew up with his films.

:bluesad: Very sad. Gough was very talented and made even the cheesiest of films more entertaining with his presence. I think I liked him best in Horrors of the Black Museum but he was always good. Like RC said, we've lost another horror legend.
