Title: What can you do that most other people cannot do?
Post by: The Burgomaster on March 23, 2011, 12:36:47 PM
I can pop my thumbs back where the joints meet my hands and keep them in that position for as long as I want.  It makes my thumbs look like they are dislocated.

Surf on a bike, standing up. (BMX bikes)

Kick the crap out of my opponents in Street Fighter, (any ver.) I have not found a worthy adversary yet.

That's about it... just some fun useless talents. Never made me any money lol.

I bet none of you SUCK at Street Fighter as much as I do! (I can't do button combos)

Though in Dissidia: Final Fantasy my skill is god-like. I've played many other skilled Dissidia players and they all fell. My record is without a scratch.

Blackjack Mulligan who also wrestled under a mask as the Big Machine. He's also Barry and Kendall Windham's dad.
Curt Hennig & Scott Hall as AWA World Tag Team Champions. Later Hall would gain fame as Razor Ramon and later in the nWo and Hennig would of course become Mr. Perfect in the WWF and also would later be in the nWo.

Yeah Scott Putski also briefly competed in WWF's short-lived Light Heavyweight division.

Probably 10 or 15 years ago I was listening to a sports talk show on the radio.  The host was a fun-loving guy who liked to discuss off-the-wall topics rather than just having serious sports discussions.  He decided to go on a quest to find Ivan Putski who was apparently living somewhere here in the U.S.  He made a series of phone calls to various people who might be able to lead him to Putski.  He kept getting clues and additional contact information and by the end of the show he got in touch with one of Putski's relatives or very close friends.  He didn't get to talk to Putski, but he did find out what town he was living in at the time.

The Polish Power was actually a big favourite of many Grandmas seems to me. Many more serious fans were critical of his lack of in-ring skills but he was popular and got over well nevertheless. He did win a WWF Tag Team championship alongside Tito Santana in the 1970s.

I liked him because he just got into the ring and got down to business.  (I liked Bruno Sammartino for the same reason).  Putski wasn't one of those flashy, loudmouth characters like Sergeant Slaughter.

I fairly routinely do pretty high level math.  Sometimes, this is just for fun.  I like to solve differential equations or similar calculations in my head while driving on long trips, for example.

In college, I hand wrote a printer driver in assembly language because I thought the driver that came with my computer was too slow.

I find sailing an 18 ft sailboat in 25 knots of wind rather enjoyable.

I have testified as an expert witness in local, state and federal courts more times than I care to count.

My longest shot with a rifle was 1200 yards; my longest with a handgun was 250 yards.

I have an almost perfect ability to make a joke, one that is funny to me (and maybe my wife if she hears it), that no one else gets so that I end up looking like the world's biggest dummy.

I can read Tarot cards with a fair amount of accuracy.

I have mad skillz in a certain area of human interaction that men find very enjoyable but I can't really mention in polite company.  I"ve actually had men look at me, dazed and confused with wonder afterwards.  :teddyr:

I could make a shed load of money with this skill but I find it rather beneath me to do it for financial gain.

Without looking it up, what are the ten different displacements the small block Chevy V8 engine was available in?

How many of those were made by simply by combining parts from two different SBC motors?

Which one was the only one NOT internally balanced?

What is the easiest way to tell the difference between a Ford 9" rear end and a Ford 8" rear end without taking it apart?

What is unique to the Chevy 'w' series motors?

What was the first passenger car engine to make 1 horsepower per cubic inch of displacement?

There were 3 advanced (for the time) safety features that were left off the Ford Pinto that may well have made it one of the safest cars or the time, what were they?

What do the numbers that make up a tire configuration mean. For Example 275/75R17

None of these are relevant to modern cars.. . .

I'm gonna SWAG here and guess Chevy 350?  If not, my second guess is Ford 289?  After that, I'll say "just tell me!"  If it's not the 350, is there something about that engine that would make it relatively easy to do so?  I recall a conversation with a gear head friend of mine in high school on the topic if the 350 and 1 HP/ cu in.  Maybe he was just a 350 fan boy ...

Actually, it was the Chrysler 354, making 355 Horsepower in 1956. Many believe it was the 1957 Chevrolet 283/283, but that is not correct.

Kinda, 275 = section width in millimeters, the 75 is the 'aspect ratio' in other words, on this tire, the height of the sidewall is 75% of the section width. R does stand for radial, and the 17 is the rim diameter. Section width is the overall width of the tire when mounted and inflated.

I know a hell of about cars- and I'm 16! :tongueout:

Without looking it up, what are the ten different displacements the small block Chevy V8 engine was available in?

262, 265, 267, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327. 350, 400.

How many of those were made by simply by combining parts from two different SBC motors?

302 was made by putting a 283 crank in a 327 block, a 307 was made by putting a 327 crank in a 283 block.

Which one was the only one NOT internally balanced?

The 400.

What is the easiest way to tell the difference between a Ford 9" rear end and a Ford 8" rear end without taking it apart?

You can fit a deepwell socket on EVERY bolt holding the 3rd member in on a 9" but not an 8".

What is unique to the Chevy 'w' series motors?

They are the only engines made where the deck surface is NOT square to the cylinder bore.

What was the first passenger car engine to make 1 horsepower per cubic inch of displacement?

There were 3 advanced (for the time) safety features that were left off the Ford Pinto that may well have made it one of the safest cars or the time, what were they?

Anti-lock brakes, airbags, and bladderized fuel cells.

What do the numbers that make up a tire configuration mean. For Example 275/75R17

None of these are relevant to modern cars.. . .

None of these are relevant to modern cars.. . .

no, but more of the carb cars. Also, home made dragsters! :teddyr:

Guys that fall under the "could break an anvil with a q-tip" category seem retarded.

Women that fall under that category seem kinda sexy.

. . . Or maybe it's just the Tequila talking. . .

I grew up in a woods and we had a wood burning stove so I did a fair amount of cutting wood when I was a kid/youth. Yesterday I cut down a 7 truncked (very split open/branchy) 25foot tall tree that was within about 20 feet of clearance between my neighbors pines and my power lines (maybe only 15ft up) which the tree was leaning over. My equipment - ladder, rope, bowsaw, pruning saw, loppers.  An addept reader would notice the lack of a chainsaw. This was a slow process involving cutting a wedge out of  the non-powerline side of the tree, tying a rope to it, and slightly counter-cutting it followed by pulling the tree with the rope. I didn't want to go to fast but I would like to mention that I got the tree down without damaging my neighbors pines (ok, not too much, nothing she will notice) or ending up in the newspaper under the heading "local idiot knocks out power to town".

I must say I'm pretty impressed with some of the car knowledge on this board. I must admit I'm not that good at cars (e.g. I know how they work but I don't have the various engines, models, etc. memorized). My dad couldn't pass this test for Fords but he could for VW's and porshe's (he's a huge fan of German cars and used to run a shop as a side job where he would work on them, this was back in the 70's/80's when he was the only guy in town who had a set of metric wrenches). He actually told me last weekend

Ouch, midsentence posting and posted... as I was saying: My dad told me last weekend (with tears in his eyes) he has to buy an American SUV for his next car because he's having trouble getting into the cars he used to as he's getting older.

This isn't something I can DO really, but I think I have the oiliest skin in the world.  I tried looking it up to see if there was a record for it and I couldn't find one.  I don't think anyone wants to record these things.

This reminds me of a popular insult from when I was a teenager.  YOU COULD GREASE A FRYING PAN WITH THAT FACE.  Of course, I would never say such a thing to you.  Mostly because you'd probably kill me with a voodoo doll or something.

It'd be more fun to tease her for not being able to tread water anyways. "What's the matter? Aren't you FAT like the rest of us? You can't float, can you? Oh, you haven't eaten 6 slices of cheesecake every day for the last year, have you? Your beer-gut is pathetically small. What's the matter, is your cholesterol level within acceptable parameters? What's the matter, are you staying healthy because you're afraid of Heart Disease?"

Oddly enough, there IS a record for longest nipple hair. I saw it online, went and measured mine, and found mine were just as long as the record holder's. Someone has since beaten the record, so now I just have world-class nipple hair, not world-record nipple hair. Is that something I should really post online?

I deserve to be teased about both.  Doesn't grease always float?

Are we talking hair as in plural, or a single hair?  This is quite a claim, Derf.  I think we need a picture of you holding a ruler up to your nipple hair as proof.

It's referring to the length of a single hair. And I'm sorry, Paquita, but I don't think Badmovies.org is ready for a photo of my nipple hair.  Just trust me. I wouldn't lie about this. After all, there's nothing lower than a guy who lies about the length of his nipple hair. :twirl:

What was the record? I just measured one of mine and it was a little longer than an inch.

The record was about 2.75 inches. I just Googled it, and the record is now 6 inches. I guess I was mistaken about having world-class nipple hair.  :bluesad:   #%$ nipple hippies and their long hair.
