An odd painting maybe?  A weird statue?  Action figures and other toys?  A really strange antique item?

I love odd stuff and collect a bunch of it.  Amongst the oddest stuff I have on my shelf...

Taxidermy/Natural Items - Cobra, Piranha, Sting Ray, Gator Head, Starfish, Egg Cases From Whelks. My mother actually made us two mirrors made out of seashells and other ocean items. 

Action Figures - mostly horror/sci fi related.  I have the original talking Beetlejuice doll.

Statues - mostly horror or death related.  I have one of the grim reaper raising the dead.  My favorite is of a shapely girl looking in the mirror.  Her reflection in the mirror reveals her face is a skull.  

There's much more but I figure I'd let you folks take over.

I have a huge Bruce Lee wall scroll, Godzilla and other Toho statues. :thumbup:

Also, my Girlfriend is into Feng Shui so I can't move stuff around or put too much stuff up.

What I want, a life size alien (1979) prop in my living room. now I know she wont go for that though lol.

I'd really like a Ferrari Enzo in my living room, but the wife keeps vetoing the idea  :thumbdown:

I've got some old models I built in my entertainment center - down in the basement where company won't see it.  There's a German Tiger tank, a Soviet BMP, a Jupiter 2 from the Lost in Space TV show, and some little spaceship that was in a couple episodes of Star Trek Voyager.

Oh I have a few things... 

A unicorn lawn ornament statue that I keep in the house.
A life size singing dancing black santa that I used to keep in the living room, but my husband moved it to the attic.. same with my Freddy standee.
Ol' Smiley! He's a smiling wooden deer head that we got on our honeymoon.  We dressed him for Christmas with bows and a santa beard and hat and never undressed him.
My husband likes swords and stuff so we have a couple of those on the walls in the "blood room".
I used to collect gargoyles, but they all got put away.
Posters - A framed poster of Mr T and Santa Claus and Party-Time Guy - Some weird party poster I found of a guy in a blue chubby cheeked monster mask wearing a hat that says "Let's Party" and blowing a party blower thing.

Most likely the five-foot-tall Dalek in the bathroom.  :teddyr:

Nothing out of the ordinary. The only thing one could consider "odd" is this little stool-thingie my parents bought in Spain back in the 1970s. Its not very comfortable to sit on so I sometimes use it as a "coffee table". Its made of dark red and very solid wood and has interesting rose carvings.

old pop bottles
cigar boxes,candle sticks,brass artwork,ceraminc junk,odd ball crap('Welcome to Hell Michigan!" ceramic Satan piggybank),alll of my wifes oil paintings hang on the wall,a chalk board from the 1930's,an Aurora Dracula model kit,Lugosi action figures,a telescope....
jeez lotsa junk.
What freaks most people out is the framed LIFE magazine with Charlie Manson on the cover.
And I wonder why I cant get laid.  :lookingup:

My brother got me a Jewish teddy bear last Xmas.  It's got a yarmulke on its head and Star of Davids on its belly and feet, and it sits on my fireplace mantle.  I named it "Moisha Goldstein".  :teddyr:

the pull chain to my living room ceiling fan is adorned with wings from doves

my hoodie is hung on a piece that is made from a bullet clip used in WWII

the skull of a goat hangs in my bathroom (my dad hates this as he is uber-christian)

i have a box on my nightstand full of broken glass i've been collecting for the past four years

a flour sack mask that hangs on the bedroom closet door (within easy reach lol)

a jewelry box that contains locks of black hair

"I am the light and the truth" -a. levay (inscribed in the concrete as you step over the threshold going into the bathroom.

my fridge is covered in a collage of WWII photos, speeches and articles (i'm a big war buff)

a half of a dollar bill on the bookshelf. i split the other half with my brother on the Nogales border

an antique coke-dish in the bathroom, i use it as a soap holder


a three hole button, this comes from appalacian superstition, hence where i was raised.

a five foot promotional poster for the pinhead twins in the hallway

my favorite thing though is a spoon that hangs from my kitchen ceiling. it done one of my best friends in. it was the last one he used and i like keeping a piece of him nearby

I have none, and I now realize that is what is missing in my life.

I REALLY want a Zombie Baby from Braindead/Dead Alive as a starter though.

There's a picture in my house. In the picture is a bunch of things and a of a girl. The girl looks exactly like someone from my highschool graduating class. It freaks me out each and everyday.

My wife is quite house proud so she does not allow me the pleasure of having my collectors pieces on show,however i do have my own collectors room in the attic and this has all sorts of movies,magazines,figures and lots of movie posters.My wife calls this room the trash room but i love going in the room and just looking around at all my stuff.

It's the sexy dog picture in the background that really sells this painting.

Yep, plenty of zombie baby items, but none are like the one in Dead-Alive.

I suppose if we're talking about decorations, I can't include the weird stuff that just happens to be sitting in view. I've got two different electronic projects going on in front of the TV, with two tables full of tools and parts.

As for things that are meant to be seen, there are the full-sized, plaqued posters for Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Gone with the Wind, and the matted and framed black-and-white movie stills of Jimmy Stewart, Don Knotts (as the Love God), and Sean Connery and Donald Sutherland (both in top hats and mutton chops).

I've got a large framed set of 16mm film reels in various sizes, wound with an actual copy of "I Am Joe's Spine," a school film narrated by Burgess Meredith (wish I could play it). The reels are in a deep, glass-covered frame, on a background of red velvet, with a replica film slate and assorted b-movie stills mounted in an oversized strip of film made of black cardboard. Made it myself a few years ago. It's about the same height and width as the movie posters.

There is, of course, also the full-sized arcade machine in the dining room, with a full-sized dalek stenciled on one side, and the Doctor Who diamond logo on the other. Another one of my projects.

I've got copies of three computer ads from magazines in the early 80s, reduced and framed together. Shatner endorsing the Commodore VIC-20, Bill Cosby for Texas Instruments, and Isaac Asimov for the TRS-80.

I've reprinted and framed a few of my more interesting news photos. Firemen silhouetted against a burning barn, framed with a shot of Mennonites rebuilding it the following week. A thoroughly demolished minivan on the highway, with police and firemen in the foreground, and an air ambulance lifting off behind it. Three shots of a funnel cloud forming behind spectators at a tractor pull.

And we have an entire magnetic blackboard wall in the kitchen.

I have quite a few myself, but not to the degee you do.  I used to live along the Muscenetcong river in Asbury, NJ (Hunterdon County) and it was a hotbed of Lenni Lenape artifacts.  I remember finding many things there.

When we first moved there in 1975, I found a hide scraper chipped out or red flint as I dug up the garden bed for my mom.  Other additional finds include a few speartips and arrowheads with that "shoulder notch" so unique to the Eastern Woodlands and the Algonquin speakers that made up the majority of the area, from Maine to the Virginias.

It's so cool that we still have traces of the original peoples of North America right under our feet, and even cooler that many still practice the art of flint knapping and fletching to this day!

Nothing really odd.  I have a piece of abstract art hanging on the wall behind my bar.  My wife bought it in Brazil.  It consists of 6 separate abstractly painted pieces (one huge center piece, two rectangular pieces, and 3 square pieces).  You can arrange the pieces any way you want.  I'm proud of this because I used a laser-level, rulers, and tape measures to center it perfectly between two windows and make sure the 5 smaller pieces are equally spaced from the large center piece and/or each other.  It took me awhile to do the measuring and leveling, but I felt really good that I didn't screw it up.

I decorate the house with something unique from all of my victims. It's hard to pick out which is the oddest, though.

Probably the pelvis from the Siamese twins who were joined at the hip.  But I'm just guessing . . .

Or from the man with the five penises. You know his condoms fit like a glove. .

I WISH I had victims that interesting.

I gave Godzilla the .50 since Gamera can fly.
