Title: Real Life Catch Phrases
Post by: Olivia Bauer on April 12, 2011, 09:17:36 PM
Is there a phrase that you actually use way to much? Has that movie cliche applied to REAL LIFE for you?

For me:

When I win an argument - "Come back and talk to me when you know what the hell you're talking about!"

CATCH Phrases. God damn it. Someone needs to make it so that people who start threads can edit their topics as easily as their posts.
It's easy to edit your thread title.  Go back to your original post and "modify".  Just try it.

. "I don't give a f#ck."
."I don't care!"
."So what's your point?"

All these work good to end a argument. I don't like to argue-so these are good cappers.
Such as-
Shmuck-"We should drop a bomb on Iran!"
Me-"So what's your point?"

or....

Shmuck-"Your a f**king drunk!"
Me-"I don't give a f**k!"

or...

Shmuck-again! This guy just don't give up!-"I HATE you!"
Me-"I don't care!"

Just imagine a four letter swear word and you'll get the idea.

One I use a lot is, "Here's a dime.  Go call someone who gives a s**t."

"You gotta be kidding me."

"I'm don't see what the problem is," as a joke response to anything that is highly inappropriate.

I tend to say "Yi Carumba" or "Aye Carumba", I admit I got that from The Simpsons.

My girlfriend says "The crowd He died for" usually when referring to as she terms them losers, dorks and douchebags usually in reference to abusive people.

On Loveline, Adam Corola used to do the same thing, except his line was "Perfectly normal, perfectly healthy"

That's funny. I'm an Adam Corola fan, but I never listened to much Loveline, I listen more to the podcast, and yes, he has said it there to, but only very occasionally.

It's possible that this influenced my use of "I don't see what the problem is" to my current extent, but I was using it before I started listening to Corola.

When someone waffles on without a point, I usually say, "And you're telling me this because........"

When someone is trying to chastise me for something:  "You say that like it's a bad thing"

When I don't give a fsck, I say "Care Factor - Nil."
