I never knew The Sixth Sense and The Blair Witch Project are the most hated movies until I got internet in 2001. I like both, and I actually prefer The Sixth Sense over Stir of Echoes (though I like that movie too).

Overrated: Big Daddy
Pretty bad: Wild Wild West
Never seen: Runaway Bride, Stuart Little, The World Is Not Enough, Notting Hill, Analyze This, The General's Daughter (Madeleine Stowe's last box office hit movie I think. One of my favorite actors from the 90s).

I absolutely love The Mummy.  Big stupid blockbuster - pure entertainment   :teddyr:  Blair Witch was pretty good, but not the kind of movie I'd ever watch a second time because the characters got soooooo annoying by the end.

I saw the top 5 films in the theater actually.  
1.) The worst letdown in film history.  I'm still recovering.
2.) Good but lost it's luster on second viewings
3.) Great sequel, i actually saw it as kind of a last minute choice.
4.) I actually never laughed as much in a theater while watching this film.
5.) I didn't know anything about this film until a college classmate told me about it.  I saw it that afternoon and loved it. Too bad the sequels went off the tracks

Another thing I have noticed about these threads is that the later the year the fewer films off the list I have seen. For example, there are 10 films I have not seen or care about seeing on this list and only 1 that I have not seen in the 1991 list.

Am I the only one (probably)

I'm surprised American Pie was so low on the list, I remember that being a pretty big deal when it came out.  And the first one was good, but they got carried away with stupid sequels and ruined it.

Much like Austin Powers that way, actually.  Saw the original in the theater and I was literally the only person laughing.  The whole movie.  It was fantastic.  Then it seemed like everyone else realized it was funny, so they promoted the hell out of the second one and it was just terrible.

08. $155,385,488 - The Mummy- I wasn't expecting a reprise of Karloff's movie and had a great time with it.
I really liked it. It was fun.

14. $126,943,684 - The World Is Not Enough-Better than it gets credit for, I think. Excellent cast except maybe for Denise Richards as a nuclear scientist :drink:

Wasted potential.  After creating an environment where almost anything could happen, all they showed us were gun fights and wire fu.

Wow!  Not a good movie year for me.

Nope.  I see fewer and fewer new movies every year.  Actually, there were a couple or three years in the 2000s that I didn't see any movies at all.  It's not that they're getting worse, necessarily, it just seems like they're getting increasingly soulless.  Or maybe I'm just getting older and have other things to worry about than movies.

Let's see here (Only looking at the films I've seen):

Star Wars: Episode 1 - Hey, it's my second favorite film of the franchise and made me interested in the series.  Say whatever you want, but it still means something to me.
Toy Story 2 -  Saw it like once or twice, but I really liked it way more the first film.
Tarzan - Really enjoyed this film a lot and helped be interested more in Disney films due to some of its dark nature (have not seen Black Cauldreon at that point)
Staurt Little - To quote HappyGilmore, meh.
Wild Wild West - Only saw it once and I thought it was okay.  Need to see it again to form a real opinion of it.

01. $431,088,301 - Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace - bores me to tears during all its races. Only Darth Maul held any interest for me. Regretted waiting long in line to see this...
02. $293,506,292 - The Sixth Sense - I loved this one! Really surprised me at the time.
03. $245,852,179 - Toy Story 2 - Outstanding!
04. $206,040,086 - Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me - Honestly I like this one the best of the Austin Powers movies even though it has some seriously offensive and dumb moments.
05. $171,479,930 - The Matrix - Loved it! Definitely a mindless action sci-fi fest but a lot of fun to watch.
06. $171,091,819 - Tarzan - Haven't seen
07. $163,479,795 - Big Daddy- Haven't seen
08. $155,385,488 - The Mummy- I enjoyed it but was disappointed we got an adventure film instead of an horror movie. Pales next to the classic Universal and Hammer Mummy movies for me.

10. $140,539,099 - The Blair Witch Project - I really liked this. At least it was daring and different at the time.

I do think this is the year I saw the most films in the theater though as I saw # 1, 2, 4, 5, and 10. Also saw Sleepy Hollow and The Thirteenth Floor this year both of which I also liked.
