I've been stressed in my life. I've been disrespectful on the forum out of anger. I'm quitting the forum indefinitely.

Aw, don't do that. Everybody needs to just take a chill pill, dude. I admit, I don't agree with a lot of your opinions, but that doesn't make 'em any less valid, and it's good that they get contributed to the discussion as an offering from a different POV.

you're not a bad guy, A.J.  I've always liked you, even when you occasionally put your foot in your mouth - something I did a lot at first here and still do occasionally (my negatives are actually way ahead of yours!!).  Take a break, deal with the stuff that's stressing you, and come back rested and refreshed.  We'll hold your spot!

I didn't see the post that set this off in Off Topic. I'm guessing you deleted it for good reason. I don't know, A.J., you've never gotten on my nerves, but then I tend to be somewhat charmed by curmudgeons and abrasive people in general.

It feels like I've committed a crime against this forum. I've pushed away a valued member and can't forgive myself for it. Hell, maybe if don't come back Circus will return. He made it plain that he hates me. But then again everyone hates this obnoxious, snarky, cynical, a***ole. I'm not asking for anyone's sympathy here, I'm just asking for a little peace. Internet drama is the most obnoxious kind of drama. I don't know what to do. Quit, Stay, Take a break? I've apologized to Circus and Macabre yet neither one has gotten back to me. I need time to think.

This is melodrama.  I need Circus to come back.  AJ did not write anything unforgivable, but should not delete his postings once he's made them.  I've done that myself, but I like to think only out of regard for another person, which, I imagine, must be AJ's motivation.  Okay, sometimes it's "damage control".  I have seen entire threads removed by their creator, which to me is like a post-part-em abortion.  Yes, I think our words at origin need economy, but once read, are precious.  I only advocate removal of written material in the interests of peace, and therefore have even censored myself.  However, I did not find AJ's remarks particularly virulent.  So, we're back to drama.  

Maybe you're right. Maybe I'm obsessing over this.

It's fine; move ahead.  Give pause, and make another effort toward Circus.  Give it time, everything will be okay.  You did not write anything I read that was horrific, or terribly offensive.  You might want to think of all of us as friends, not random persons who might will ill.  You're cool!   :thumbup: :smile:

A.J., I know that it's pretty cliched to say this, but I've been there before. It's happened a lot in the past (and even sometimes today) where I feel like I've done nothing but annoy, even drive some people away on this forum.

I think that it may be best for you to take a break from this forum. Take any number of days you want off. Whatever it takes to make you feel better.

It's all over guys. I've spoken with Circus, we've come to an understanding. I'm returning to the forums. The drama has ended.
